Artist Reuben Paterson in New York

Maori contemporary artist Reuben Paterson moved to New York three years ago and says he feels an 'incredible sense of freedom' which carries over into his work. He has also contributed to the new documentary, TOITŪ Visual Sovereignty, which goes behind the scenes of the biggest ever exhibition of Māori contemporary art in Tamaki Makaurau in 2020.
