Kiwis get set to rock the stage at Glastonbury Festival
Nadia Reid is amongst a group of New Zealanders playing at the massive music festival, with rumours swirling that Lorde may also make a surprise appearance.
Kiwi singer-songwriter Nadia Reid is debuting at Glastonbury, the world's largest greenfield music festival, on Friday (UK time).
About 200,000 ticket holders arrived on Wednesday, with the event selling out in 35 minutes before any headliners were announced, Reuters reported.
The main stage, called Pyramid, is headlined by The 1975, Rod Stewart, and Neil Young and will close with Olivia Rodrigo’s performance.

Reid is in the line-up for the acoustic stage, which will be headlined by Ani DiFranco and The Searchers on Friday (UK time).
The contemporary folk artist, who moved from Port Chalmers to the United Kingdom two years ago, says she’s proud to be representing the small country on a world stage.
“You know what I had in my mind that it [the acoustic stage] was like a little marquee, like a little folk festival sort of thing, and we rocked up today and it's very grand. The feeling here is just incredible,” Reid told Morning Report.
“I hope there'll be a few Kiwis in the crowd.”
Other Kiwi performers at the event this year include drag artist Jason Chasland (Leather Lungs) and Lady Shaka with her Pasifika collective, which include Poppa Jax, Katayanagi Twins, Dj K-Swizz, Allyxpress, Keke and Mokotron.
There are also rumours swirling about whether Lorde will be there. The Kiwi singer, who performed on the main stage in 2022, told BBC Radio 2 earlier this month that she would be keen to go since she her album Virgin is out now and British friend Charli XCX will be there too.

Setting up camp among the general public, Reid is hoping to catch a glimpse of the legendary artists like Alanis Morissette, Brandi Carlile and Neil Young on the main Pyramid Stage.
“Hopefully I don’t run out of steam, but my schedule is pretty packed.”
Alongside her new UK bandmates, she will be performing songs from her album Enter Now Brightness, which was released earlier this year.
“I've got like a solo tour and a bunch of festivals, and then I'm coming back to New Zealand in December … but I still am sort of emerging out of the cocoon of early motherhood, but it feels just right.”
Glastonbury Festival won't be held on the grounds next year, as part of the organisers' environmental strategy to allow the farmland site to recover.
